Same, but the Poke-stops are scattered everywhere. They would have to be within reach of places with WiFi to not use data.

Mine works now, but I’m in the city and can’t seem to reach any Pokemon. Doesn’t help that my GPS is nuts.

This morning mine has been better. However, on multiple occasions I saw rustling bushes on the map that I couldn’t get to without trespassing.

I did catch a rattata while I was getting my coffee that was across the street so it seems a little picky on how close you have to be. One had rustling bushes right next to my avatar but couldn't get any action out of it

I have now caught 35 Pokemon. I got it working for my 1.5hour commute home, even with patchy GPS the train ride gave me plenty of opportunities.

I didn’t really get that close to any of the markers. I just watched the map as the train rode and took what I could :)

It got better for me but the servers were down or super spotty for a while. Seems to be fine tonight but I've been doing work so I haven't done much with it

I’ve had some sporadic spottiness too.
